Personal Support Assistant
Aged Personal Care Worker is a vital role in promoting independence, well-being and dignity by providing personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs. This position requires a compassionate approach, attention to detail, and adherence to established care protocols to ensure the safety and comfort of our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to help others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have experience as a Personal Care Worker, Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care (or an equivalent qualification), driver's licence and vehicle, current Car Insurance (Full comprehensive) & Car Registration, National police check, First aid & CPR, Blue Card, strong interpersonal skills, proficient in personal care tasks, and excellent time management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personalized care tailored to each client’s needs
* Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Prepare and serve meals and snacks
* Assist with mobility and transfers
* Provide emotional support and companionship
* Maintain accurate records of client care
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Requirements:
* AgeCare Certification or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Worker
* Driver's license and reliable vehicle
* Current car insurance and registration
* National police check
* First aid and CPR certification
* Blue Card
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
