Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world's largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you are joining a unique team! As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.
Lynas is embarking on an expansion in Western Australia, and we have an opportunity for two driven Site Services Supervisors wanting to join us on our journey. Lynas recently announced an approximately $500M project to expand the capacity at the Mt Weld mine and concentration plant to meet accelerating market demand for rare earth minerals. In this exciting position, you will be ensuring that the contractors' work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a fixed term 2-years contract, fly in/fly out (FIFO) position from Perth to Mt Weld on a 2/1 roster.
**As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will**:
- Be an active role model and lead by example to promote Lynas values.
- Inspect equipment and light/heavy vehicles to ensure safety specific requirements are met before entering site.
- Develop and maintain a log of equipment and light/heavy vehicles that have entered and exited site.
- Develop and maintain a map of laydown yards, warehouses, roads and services onsite.
- Liaise with vendors/contractors to schedule and record maintenance and general service upkeep of site vehicles, offices, laydown yards and service roads is in line with company standards.
- The essential areas of activity - think about the most important key result or responsibility.
- Develop and maintain schedule for site waste deposal services.
- Develop, maintain and update date site traffic management plans.
- Liaise with vendors contractors and site material management team regarding delivery of oversize loads.
- Escort duties as and when required.
- Oversee maintenance of site facilities, roads and associated plant and equipment.
- General maintenance duties as directed by Construction team.
**What you will bring to the team**:
- Prior experience in site set-up/mobilisation
- Basic construction, vehicle and equipment knowledge
- Ability to schedule and multitask
- Problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safety and industrial relations and commitment to compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of and hands-on experience with the development and monitoring of schedules
**Qualifications**:
- Class C Manual Driver's License minimum (Truck, Bus and plant Licenses an advantage)
