Policy Officer Exciting opportunity to join Liquor and Gaming NSW - we're responsible for regulating liquor, wagering, gaming, and registered clubs in NSW This is a Clerk Grade 7/8 role with a salary range of $113,574 - $125,720 per annum plus superannuation Several ongoing opportunities based in Sydney, NSW - hybrid working arrangements may be considered within business operational needs About Liquor & Gaming NSW We are at the pointy end of industry regulatory policy for the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered club sectors in NSW. If you want a seat at the table, whether we’re advising Government on policy reforms for liquor or gaming; developing initiatives to increase live music venues and festivals; or investigating unlawful liquor or gambling inducement practices, we want to talk to you. About The Role The Policy Officer coordinates and undertakes policy development, provides analysis and advice, to support Agency and/or Government policy initiatives and commitments. Essential Requirement Appointment and ongoing assignment are subject to satisfactorily meeting pre-employment and ongoing probity screening to meet the integrity standards set out in section 14 of the Gaming and Liquor Administration Act 2007. About You Knowledge of the machinery of Government, including Cabinet and legislative processes and ability to understand and interpret a wide variety of legislation to develop policy, analyse and evaluate existing policy and provide advice to Government.
