About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to;
- The purpose of the role is to provide strategic direction, management and operational leadership for the Health Services Security and Emergency Services including fire management protocols, ensuring the safety and security of staff, patients, visitors, contractors, suppliers and community members attending hospital facilities, whilst protecting the physical assets of The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), Kallangur Satellite Hospital (KSH) and Jacaranda Place (JP).
- Effectively manage security operations at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) and provide professional security governance to security leaders at Kallangur Satellite Hospital (KSH) and Jacaranda Place (JP) ensuring a high standard of service delivery to staff, patients and visitors through compliance with legislation, MNHHS policies and procedures.
- Lead security staff in promoting a quality ethos, maintaining awareness of contemporary industry practices including Accreditation, National Standards, technology, and maintaining standards of best practice
- To comply with the obligation to act and make decisions in a way that is compatible with human rights and, when making a decision, to give proper consideration to human rights as required by the Human Rights Act 2019.
- Responsible for developing and implementing security services across TPCH, KSH and JP facilities.
- Responsible for developing and implementing a Security/Emergency Framework that meets the needs of TPCH, and supports KSH and JP.
