Executive Officer
* 3 month role, starting January 2026
* Hybrid working from Parramatta and 2 days from home
* $80 p/hr + Super (however potentially negotiable for the right experience)

A leading, high‑profile university in Western Sydney is seeking an experienced Executive Officer to support the senior leadership team at this esteemed University. You will join a respected institution committed to excellence, innovation and student success, working closely with senior stakeholders across academic and professional divisions.
Your new role
In this pivotal position, you will provide high-level executive, strategic and operational support, and play a key role in planning, governance, policy development and operational oversight of various projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Driving strategic and operational planning activities across the portfolio
* Providing governance support, including policy development and high level secretariat duties for key committees
* Collaborating with finance and budget owners to ensure effective cost management and aligned investment strategies
* Coordinating organisational development initiatives, including recruitment and workforce planning
* Supporting academics and leaders by removing operational roadblocks and facilitating efficient service delivery
* Leading business process improvements to enhance performance, streamline systems and uplift service standards
* Managing strategic and ad-hoc projects to deliver key actions, outcomes and divisional priorities
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience as an Executive Officer, ideally from a University environment.
* Strong understanding of governance, policy frameworks and compliance environments
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
* Proven ability to manage budgets, reporting processes and operational planning
* Experience leading process improvement initiatives and coordinating strategic projects
