Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Sheetmetal Worker / Metal Fabricator to bring energy and expertise to our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects, delivering custom, one-of-a-kind solutions where each job presents new challenges. It is a hands-on position where your skills and initiative will be highly valued, with genuine scope for the right person to progress into a lead hand or supervisory role as the business continues to grow.
What You'll Be Doing
You’ll work across diverse, customised projects, including:
* Fabricating and installing sheet metal ducting, specialised metal products, and light gauge piping and framing, all tailored to client specifications.
* Engaging in both factory fabrication and on-site installations, ensuring each solution is built and fitted to a high standard.
* Installing a range of industrial machinery and custom equipment, including fans and dust collectors, and replacing filter bags as needed.
* Handling roofing installations, including custom-fit ductwork, stacks, and roof sheets.
* Overseeing the daily production goals for the team
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives on variety and takes pride in crafting high-quality, bespoke solutions and have a mechanical aptitude. If you enjoy problem-solving, prefer an independent, project-driven environment, and take ownership of your work, you’ll fit right in. Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach are key.
Experience and Qualifications
We’re seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:
* Minimum of 2 years in a related field.
* Trade certifications and First Aid training (preferred but not essential).
* MIG and TIG welding experience (STICK welding beneficial but not essential).
* Basic mechanical fitting knowledge (preferred).
* Forklift license (not essential).
* Certifications for working at heights, confined spaces, and elevated work platforms over 11m (we can provide training if required).
