Our client is offering experienced Cotton Ginners the rare chance to work a true 2:1 FIFO roster — 13 days on, 6 days off — with all flights and ground transport paid. That's right: regular time at home to reset, see family, or just live life on your terms. No more burnout. No more back-to-back rosters. Just real balance.
The role:
Based near Katherine, NT, you'll join a tight-knit team operating one of Australia's newest, most advanced cotton gins. You'll work 12-hour shifts across your 13-day swing, then you'll fly home for nearly a full week off — every time.
What you'll get:
* Competitive Salarycommensurate with Ginning experience.
* 2:1 FIFO roster – real breaks between swings
* Flights and vehicles paid, every swing
* Brand new accommodation with private rooms, TVs, 3 meals per day & laundry done for you
* Rent assistance if you choose to relocate to Katherine instead of FIFO
* A high-performing, safety-first team in a progressive operation
Why this is different:
Most gins run flat out for months with no break. We've built in time off because we know good people don't last long without it. Whether you're local or flying from interstate, this is a cotton season that won't burn you out.
You'll need:
* 2 plus years' ginning experience
* A full driver's licence (forklift/truck licence ideal)
* Leadership experience, reliability, and physical fitness
Season timing:
* Ginning: June to December
* Wet season maintenance: March to June
* Optional Break: December to March
Don't miss this – roles like this in cotton are rare. In addition to this Ginner opportunity, we are also recruiting for a Gin Site Manager at the same operation.
We encourage applicants to share a few notes about your current location and family/lifestyle needs – we're big on finding the right fit.
