Position: Student Support Assistant (Primary and Secondary)
Contract: Fixed-term, part-time (school hours), term-time only
Appointment Dates: Commencing Tuesday, 27 January 2026 and concluding 11 December 2026 (Possibility of ongoing opportunities in 2027)
Hours: 31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as per the duty roster

Position Overview
Brisbane Montessori School invites applications from qualified Student Support Assistants for a part-time, fixed-term, term-time-only position for the 2026 school year, with the possibility of ongoing opportunities in 2027. The role is 31.25 hours per week across five days: Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 2:45 pm, and 8:15 am to 3:00 pm on all other days.
We warmly welcome applicants who are dynamic, engaging, and committed to supporting students with a positive and flexible approach. A willingness to embrace the Montessori philosophy is essential. Experience in social–emotional student support, implementing social skills programs, and working with students with learning difficulties will be highly regarded.
Essential Criteria:
* Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent.
* Current Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
* Current First Aid and CPR Qualifications, or willingness to obtain prior to commencing.
* Experience working with children.
* Montessori qualifications are preferred; however, a willingness to embrace the Montessori philosophy would be considered.

* Middle School & Year – 16-year-olds)
* Senior School Years 11 & – 18-year-olds) (Opening in January 2026)
