SkillQuest Solutions are seeking a qualified and experienced Truck Driver on behalf of our client based in Burton, South Australia. This full-time role involves the safe and timely transport of household and commercial freight, interstate moving services, and temperature-controlled frozen food deliveries. This position includes regular interstate travel to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and is critical to ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently, safely and on schedule.

Location – Truck Depot: Burton, South Australia. This role requires travel across greater Adelaide and outer regional.
Salary - $77,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
We are looking for a reliable and qualified Truck Driver with a commitment to providing excellent service standards. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, routine vehicle checks, and maintaining accurate delivery records. The role is full-time and ongoing.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:
· Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and refrigerated produce to designated locations, and manoeuvre trucks for loading and unloading.
· Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods across scheduled routes and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving, planning routes using GPS to maximise efficiency.
· Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage and check loads are secure to remain stable during transit.
· Monitor and manage temperature control systems to ensure cold chain integrity for perishable goods.
· Perform routine inspections of vehicle to ensure they are in good working condition and report any mechanical issues or damage to the fleet manager promptly.
· Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks and transport documentation, and collect and verify shipment paperwork/delivery receipts where necessary.
· Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules, providing professional customer service at all times.
· Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and comply with all relevant transportation regulations and standards.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· A current MR or HR truck licence - ESSENTIAL
· Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience as a Truck Driver manouvering trucks for loading and unloading, and conducting timely deliveries.
· Understanding of Australian transport safety and compliance requirements.
· Ability to perform physical tasks, such as loading and unloading of goods.
· Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and punctuality.
· Good communication and customer service skills.
· Excellent time management and a reliable work ethic.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
