Hedland Trattoria is an Italian restaurant located in regional South Hedland, Western Australia.
We are seeking highly motivated Cooks to join our team at Hedland Trattoria for breakfast and dinner service. Minimum 40 hours a week, attractive hourly rate, free accommodation and meals provided for the right candidate with the right attitude.
Main duties include:
* Traditional cooking duties
* Making and developing sauces from scratch
* Menu development and Coordination with other Chefs/Cooks
* Managing all kitchen operations reporting directly to Park Manager
* Always delivering to our customer's high expectations
* Maintaining an overall knowledge and passion for nutrition and healthy eating
* Observation of and implementation of allergy awareness controls
* Monitoring costs with special regard to portion control, waste minimization and stock control
* Adhering to all relevant health and safety and food safety standards
Qualifications and Employment Experience:
* Commercial Cookery qualifications essential (Certificate III minimum)
* At least one year of relevant employment experience
* A proven track record as a team player who is able to work autonomously and under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner.
* Excellent and Innovative culinary skills in Italian cuisine
* Be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
* Solid knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
* This is not a FIFO role.
Wages are paid weekly. The base annual salary is in the order of $69, $79,000.00, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.
