Endurance's Abra Mine is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The underground mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead‐silver projects.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance department at our remote mining operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities to ensure our equipment fleet and major components achieve maximum availability in a safe, efficient, and cost‐effective manner.
This is a strategic role for a maintenance professional who understands that effective planning is the cornerstone of operational excellence. You will work with cutting‐edge CMMS technology and collaborate across multiple departments to optimise our maintenance strategies and drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Do Strategic Planning & Scheduling
* Plan and schedule all maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability
* Generate preventative maintenance tasks and comprehensive maintenance schedules
* Develop shutdown scheduling and analytics for company reporting
* Create forecasts and reports on costs associated with planned work
* Champion integral utilisation of Pronto CMMS for all maintenance‐related work
Systems Management & Documentation
* Ensure appropriate management of change is applied to all controlled documentation
* Audit documentation for all maintenance work including historical data and downtime
* Audit and ensure quality compliance of Work Orders (WOs) and Preventive Maintenance (PMs)
* Review performance reports from maintenance supervisors
* Maintain currency of drawings, manuals, and facility status documentation
Analysis & Reporting
* Analyze and report on costs, unit costs, man‐hours, and wear trends
* Track historical maintenance trends and generate insights for decision‐making
* Prepare weekly reporting metrics and shutdown analytics
* Monitor and control spares inventory effectively
Budget & Cost Management
* Promote awareness of budgeting processes and cost code allocations
* Use cost considerations as a key factor in all maintenance decisions
* Control and monitor spares inventory to optimise investment
* Develop accurate forecasts for planned work expenditure
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
* Build collaborative working relationships with external partners
* Ensure statutory compliance across contractors, consultants, andli>
* Conduct regular reviews of agreements to maintain service currency
* Foster close working relationships with internal teams and external providers
Continuous Improvement & Safety
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the processing department
* Identify opportunities and solutions to improve processes and performance
* Promote positive safety‐focused culture and lead by example
* Ensure risks are identified, assessed, and controlled for all activities
What We're Looking For Essential Qualifications
* Relevant trade qualifications within mechanical or electrical disciplines
* Current \"C\" Class Western Australian driver's license
* Minimum 3 years' experience as fixed‐plant Maintenance Planner within the resources industry
Technical Expertise
* Good knowledge of Pronto CMMS systems
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, or similar maintenance packages
* Sound comprehension of maintenance strategy and risk management
* Demonstrated experience in preventative maintenance task generation
* Proven experience in shutdown scheduling and maintenance strategies
