Working closely with HR colleagues and senior stakeholders, you will contribute to stronger compliance and the development of standardised ways of working across UQ.If you're seeking a role where your compliance expertise, stakeholder influence, and passion for best practice can shape workforce outcomes across UQ, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.**Key responsibilities will include**:* Undertake regular workforce governance and assurance activities, including monitoring, auditing, and review of workforce processes, identifying risks, and escalating complex or unresolved issues as required.* Provide specialist workforce management governance, assurance, and advice to leaders across an assigned portfolio, ensuring compliance with the UQ Enterprise Agreement, relevant legislation, and internal policy frameworks.* Deliver and support workforce management training and capability uplift, including onboarding of leaders and staff, development of training materials, and facilitation of knowledge sharing and best practice.* Partner closely with HR colleagues and key stakeholders to support consistent, standardised workforce practices, contribute to Communities of Practice, and drive continuous improvement across the University.This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW Level 7, with multiple positions available.# **About You**This position is well suited to an experienced HR professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, applying compliance expertise at scale, and building organisational capability through training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Additional criteria for the ideal candidate is as below:* Demonstrated experience in providing workforce management advice, governance, or assurance within a large, complex organisation.* Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, industrial relations principles, and relevant Australian employment legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply these in practice.* Proven capability in delivering training, onboarding, or capability-building initiatives related to HR policy, systems, or workforce management practices.* Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders at all levels.* Strong attention to detail and sound judgement, with experience identifying compliance risks and contributing to consistent, standardised ways of working.* Proficiency in HR systems and digital tools, with the ability to analyse workforce data and support accurate reporting and assurance activities.The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
