Position Summary
The Training and Development Officer is responsible to identify training and development needs of employees, develop and deliver training and development programs, monitor and review the progress of the programs and take necessary actions.
Duties and Responsibilities of Training and Development Officer
* Deliver, Evaluate, research and implement training programs and courses to suit the training needs of the employees.
* Research, write, translate and transcribe relevant, knowledgeable content to boost employee engagement, enthusiasm and productivity as per the unit's internal knowledge-sharing strategy.
* Prepare written and visual illustrations (social media posts, program flyers and banners) to enhance social media engagement and reach for any content production of the unit.
* Develop and monitor employee retention programs to drive employees' spontaneous interest, motivation, proactivity, and performance in their daily operations.
* Research any external training suppliers (online and in-person), and negotiate for potential partnership, if applicable.
* Conduct training needs analysis interviews to identify present and future skill-gaps of the employees and fulfill the business goals of the company without delay.
* Collect quantitative and qualitative surveys to measure, evaluate and align individual and organizational development needs.
* Plan and Develop corporate training budget.
* Conduct effective orientation program.
* Identify and assess training needs through job analysis, annual performance appraisal and consolation with line managers.
* Monitor the changes and upgrade knowledge by attending workshop and meeting.
* Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and apply in appropriate ways.
* Fulfill any ad-hoc tasks and assignments as assigned by the direct-line supervisor, as necessary
Qualifications
* Any Bachelor degree but Bachelor degree in human resources or business administration is preferable.
* Diploma/Certificate in human resources management is compulsory.
* At least 2 years of expertise in fields related to workforce development, learning innovations and tech, educational and/or business management and consulting, corporate universities, or other related fields.
* Demonstrated interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of computer – Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Fluent written and good communication skills in English.
