We are seeking an experienced and dynamic **Head of Sales** for our _Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM)_ business. This role will cover the regions of NSW, QLD and NZ.

Reporting to the _General Manager_, this role is responsible for developing sales strategy and design sales execution infrastructure to support business needs. Additionally it will perform sales analysis while utilising strategic planning, marketing strategies and execution on the ground to achieve revenue, market share, division margin and operating profit targets for ANZ.

For the right person, this role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane.

**Your responsibilities include (and not limited to)**:

- Accountability for the results of sales revenues, market share growth and division margin
- Cascading the vision, strategy, objectives and encouraging teamwork to contribute to the achievement of overall business targets
- Increasing sales team performance, efficiency and effectiveness; taking the APAC best practice as a model and work with sales leads to adapt and execute locally
- Strengthening the sales team competencies through coaching, development and training aligned with the Abbott CRM sales functional competency framework
- Building the annual sales strategic business plan that incorporates commercial excellence, education, marketing and country strategic initiatives to achieve revenue and market share gain
- Ensure the team develop an annual regional/territory business action plan and activities/ performance are monitored on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Expert understanding of customer needs and develop relationships with key opinion leaders & customers to develop sales and business strategies in line with company strategies
- Proactive sales calls with customers about engaging Abbott's remote services
- Statistic collection, collation and reporting of data to assess potential and current service impact of future products and help improve efficiency

**Who we're looking for**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Marketing, Business or equivalent; Post grad qualifications preferable
- Demonstrated experience in a sales/commercial leadership role in a similar role in a technical/clinical therapy area; minimum of 7 years' industry experience at the senior level
- Excellent leadership and people management skills - You are only as strong as the people around you, so you know how to build and motivate a team. You foster an environment that is collaborative and empowering to ensure your team do their life's best work
- Proven effective relationship building experience in a matrix environment, approaching problems flexibly and delivering results by driving what matters
- Effective communication that is highly engaging and influential
- Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to identify/define business questions and issues, conduct analysis and formulate actionable recommendations
- Self-starter that is assertive, possesses a high degree of self-confidence and intellectual curiosity, exhibits a bias for action and has a high degree of commitment to meeting deadlines and objectives
- Innovative and creative; demonstrated ability to leverage consumer insights to identify and evaluate creative ideas, focusing on those that will create sustainable competitive advantage
- Flexibility for travel between 40-60% is required
