Position Title: Service Coordinator – NDIS & Disability Support

Reports To: Accommodation Manager or General Manager
Location: Office address and occasional site visits
Employment Type: Casual

Position Overview

The Service Coordinator– NDIS & Disability Support plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions within the disability services sector. This position requires expertise in monthly client report writing, staff training coordination, and NDIS compliance to support participants, staff, and stakeholders effectively. The Service Coordinator will maintain accurate records, facilitate training, and oversee compliance documentation to meet NDIS standards

Key Responsibilities

* Client Reporting: Compile monthly client reports, documenting participant progress, service delivery, and adherence to NDIS standards. Ensure reports are clear, accurate, and actionable.

* Staff Training Coordination: Develop and maintain a training schedule for support workers, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and participant needs. Organize orientation programs for new staff.

* NDIS Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records related to NDIS funding, participant plans, incident reports, and regulatory requirements.

* Incident & Risk Reporting: Assist in preparing incident reports and ensuring timely follow-up on participant safety concerns.

* Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with support coordinators, plan managers, and allied health professionals to ensure effective collaboration.

* Administrative Operations: Oversee document management, correspondence, and office logistics to support the organization’s operational needs.

* Confidentiality & Ethics: Uphold strict privacy standards, ensuring all data handling aligns with NDIS confidentiality policies.

* Provide a safe working environment within your area of responsibility, actively participating in and supporting a ‘safety first’ business culture.

* Ensure compliance with Statutory and Regulatory requirements, and Northern Disability Services (SA) Pty Ltd policies, processes and procedures.

* Emulate and encourage others to adhere to, Northern Disability Services (SA) Pty Ltd values in all work-related activities.

Ad Hoc Duties:

* Step in to resolve urgent staffing shortages or unexpected patient surges.

* Assist in crisis management, including emergency response planning.

* Provide temporary support for quality improvement initiatives and audits.

* Conduct ad hoc training sessions for new staff or procedural updates.

* Support last-minute documentation reviews for compliance and accreditation.

* Handle unforeseen patient escalations requiring immediate intervention.

Key Qualifications & Skills

* Strong writing skills, particularly in client report creation and compliance documentation

* Knowledge of NDIS funding, reportable incidents, restrictive practices, policies, and participant support frameworks

* Experience in staff training coordination, including professional development scheduling

* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, Brevity and administrative tools

* Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills

* Understanding of risk management and incident reporting in disability support settings

Desired Experience

* Previous service coordinator/ delivery manager/ administrative cum coordinator experience in NDIS or disability services

* Exposure to report writing related to client care and funding compliance

* Experience in coordinating staff training within the disability sector

* Understanding of NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements

Preference will be given to Registered Nurse Qualification (registered with AHPRA)

* Other Requirements.

o Travel as required to meet business needs.

o Provision of a satisfactory National Police Check

o Provision of a satisfactory pre–employment medical report

o Current First AID and CPR

o NDIS Worker Orientation Module

o NDIS worker check

o Australian Driving License

o A Satisfactory Comprehensive Insurance.
