Senior Financial Reporting Consultant

This role offers an opportunity to provide technical accounting leadership and expertise in a complex federal government environment.

As a Senior Financial Reporting Consultant, you will work closely with the Director of Financial Reporting to achieve better practice reporting compliance and process objectives. You will lead discussions with external auditors and develop negotiation strategies to ensure high-quality financial performance for the agency.

">

You will be responsible for writing technical accounting position papers and internal policy, providing strategic advice for financial statements and audit planning, and offering timely expert advice on emerging accounting issues.

">

In addition, you will support continuous improvement in reporting compliance and process design, and partner directly with ANAO and senior stakeholders to deliver national-scale accounting challenges with strategic influence.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years at the management level in large government or comparable organisations, with expert knowledge of AASB, Commonwealth financial frameworks, and audit standards.
