MGIB is a well-established Insurance Broker based in Bunbury, Western Australia. While our business has grown, our philosophy remains simple — we believe in genuine, personalised service and being there for our clients when they need us most.
We work closely with businesses to provide practical risk solutions tailored to their needs, and we pride ourselves on delivering responsive, dependable support — especially at claim time.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an Assistant Account Manager to join our team. This role would suit someone who brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to broking and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
Previous experience within the insurance industry (Broking or Underwriting) is preferred. Tier 2 qualifications are required, with Tier 1 or Diploma qualifications highly regarded.
What You'll Be Doing
You will play a key role in supporting the management of client portfolios and day-to-day workflows, ensuring a high level of service and compliance with MGIB's policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing new business submissions
* Managing renewals and policy alterations
* Assisting with the lodgement and coordination of claims
* Responding to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner
You'll be supported by a dedicated internal claims team who manage all general and workers' compensation claims, along with a Broker Support team who handle data entry and administrative processing. This allows you to focus on delivering quality service and building strong client relationships.
What We're Looking For
We value attitude and integrity just as highly as experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Honesty and reliability
* Initiative and sound judgement
* A positive, solutions-focused mindset
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively
* A solid work ethic
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A genuine desire to help clients and colleagues
Why Join MGIB?
