Bonsai Horticulturist
Council is seeking to appoint a maximum term full time Bonsai Horticulturist to contribute to Council's success.
Enjoy working in Horticulture at one of Australia's top Ten Regional Botanic Gardens (as voted by Australia Geographic Magazine)
This position is a twelve (12) month maximum term opportunity with a projected end date twelve (12) months from commencement.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to deliver quality horticultural services to the Bonsai collection, living collections, horticultural displays, and event spaces to ensure Tondoon Botanic Gardens are maintained to a high standard. It also provides assistance to the various scientific, cultural, educational and promotional activities at the Gardens and all the community groups involved with these.
You will bring:
* Certificate III in Horticulture (or related discipline) and a high-level understanding and knowledge of the growth requirements of Australian native plants and proven ability to apply this knowledge to practical situations.
* Demonstrated experience in horticultural maintenance and development using a range of horticultural plant and equipment.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
* Basic keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
* Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.

This position requires immunisation against Tetanus.
