About the Company: Our client is a global leader in communication. They provide mobile radio communications, video security & access control, integrated technology to help make communities safer.
About the Role: To provide high quality technical and operational support for customer P25 infrastructure and subscriber technologies / systems supplied, and to provide technical excellence and leadership to other members of the Operations engineering and Support Services. Contribute to Operations Engineering activities and practices to ensure the Customer networks meet the SLA, contractual requirements and achieve customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Primarily responsibility for the overall technical operation and maintenance of systems and subsystems of the P25 system for NSW and ACT Public Safety Network.
* Ongoing high end technical and engineering support for main systems and subsystems used on the P25 and associated Core systems and Remote Sites, Console Dispatch System, Voice/Telephony Logging Systems associated LAN/WANs, external interfaces and Network Management Systems.
* Act as a technical escalation point for Network Operations Control Centre (NOCC) staff and Field technicians requiring technical assistance.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Required Government security clearances - All applicants must have Baseline clearance or must be able to qualify for "baseline clearance" requirement
* Bachelor's degree in Electronics, IT / Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar discipline. (Extensive industry experience will be considered as an alternative).
Highly Desirable:
* P25 Radio System Experience
* Telecommunications, Land Mobile Radio (LMR)
* Juniper Certification JNCIA or similar industry certification
* ITIL Foundation Certificate
* Working knowledge on Public Safety systems
