This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight.
Position Profile:
This position provides expert behavioural support to consumers, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams while contributing to safe, high quality and person‑centred care. The role is grounded in professional accountability, evidence‑based practice, and a commitment to continuous improvement in alignment with national standards and organisational values.
The role requires an individual who brings significant advanced clinical knowledge and extensive experience working in behavioural support within complex and diverse practice settings. This includes the ability to independently manage complex behavioural presentations, offer expert consultation to staff, and lead clinical decision making in situations that require a high level of specialist judgement.
Success in this role depends on the ability to work productively within complex multidisciplinary teams. The Clinical Nurse Specialist must be able to influence collaborative practice, maintain effective relationships across service structures, and contribute to a culture of shared learning, psychological safety and professional respect. This includes the ability to coordinate care, support staff capability building, and contribute expertise to case discussions and risk management processes.
