The Company
This well‐established manufacturing business operates multiple sites across Australia, supplying essential building materials into the construction sector. With a strong reputation for quality, safety and operational excellence, they continue to invest in their people and plant.
Due to internal progression, they are now looking to appoint a Plant Manager to lead their Cairns operation, overseeing a well‐established site with a long‐tenured workforce.
The Role
In this role you will take full responsibility for the performance of the site, overseeing production, maintenance, safety and financial outcomes.
You will lead a team of approximately 18 staff, ensuring safe, efficient and high‐quality operations across a two‐shift manufacturing environment.
This is a hands‐on leadership role with a strong focus on people management, operational performance and continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in managing budgets, driving cost control and supporting upcoming capital projects.
Duties
* Full P&L responsibility for site performance
* Oversee production, maintenance and site operations
* Control operational budgets and support capital expenditure projects
* Drive continuous improvement across productivity, quality and cost
Requirements
* Experience in an Operational or Senior Manufacturing leadership role
* Strong background in manufacturing
* Experience managing site budgets and P&L
