About the Role
Customer Success Associate (Software Industry)
Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane | Hybrid work available
Full-time, permanent

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Customer Success Associate to help us deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience, you'll work closely with our Support and Sales teams, taking ownership of customer interactions, supporting customer engagements, and ensuring clear, timely communication with clients.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how customers use software, takes accountability for outcomes, and wants to build a career in customer success within the software industry. If you bring the right mindset and foundation skills, we'll provide the training.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, taking ownership of enquiries and proactively identifying solutions and next steps
• Communicate clearly with customers to manage expectations, provide updates, and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate
• Organise, coordinate and attend customer engagement meetings to understand client needs, software usage, and priorities
• Monitor customer usage and software currency, identifying gaps, risks, or opportunities to improve value for the customer
• Identify potential sales, upgrade, or expansion opportunities and communicate these to the Sales team
• De-escalate customer concerns with professionalism and empathy, resolving issues where possible and escalating when required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records across systems
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to progress customer needs and deliver outcomes
• Develop a strong understanding of the Markinson software suite and associated business workflows
• Support the Head of Customer Experience with operational tasks, priorities, and customer initiatives

Skills & Experience
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills
• At least 1 year of experience in a customer service, support, or service delivery role (or equivalent experience)
• A basic understanding of ERP systems, software solutions, or business workflows
• Experience in wholesale, retail, or ERP-related environments (highly regarded, not essential)
• Familiarity with CRM systems
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Confidence handling customer issues and complaints with professionalism and empathy
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• The ability to learn and understand new software products quickly
