About the Role

We're on the lookout for an Internal Sales Officer to join our friendly, fast-paced team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers handling enquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and coordinating with our production and logistics teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What You'll Do

* Handle inbound enquiries via phone, email and in person from trade and industrial customers
* Prepare accurate quotes and product recommendations based on customer needs
* Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
* Liaise with production, warehouse and transport teams to track order status
* Maintain up-to-date customer records and pricing information
* Provide product advice on steel and metal products (sheet, coil, tube, beam, etc.)
* Follow up on quotes and orders to maximise customer satisfaction
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
* Support external sales representatives with customer and pricing information
* Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally

What You'll Bring

* Experience ininternal sales, customer service or sales support. Ideally in steel, metal, building materials or manufacturing
* Strong product knowledge of steel or sheet metal (preferred but not essential)
* Confidence interpreting technical drawings or material specifications
* Experience using ERP or CRM systems (e.g. SAP, Pronto or similar)
* Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
* A proactive, customer-first attitude and the ability to work well in a team
