IOR Port Of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Service and Maintenance Supervisor
IOR might be the greatest Aussie success story you haven't heard of… yet.
From humble roots in Eromanga, QLD, we've been fuelling the furthest corners of Australia for over 40 years. You won't see our logo on racing cars. Instead, you'll be part of a team that helps fuel LifeFlight's choppers and supports communities around the nation – real work with real impact that's growing every day.
We're looking for a Service & Maintenance Supervisor who's ready to take charge and keep Australia running. In this role, you'll oversee fault response, guide technicians, and ensure our fuel systems stay safe, reliable, and efficient. From remote support to hands‑on coordination, you'll be part of a team that thrives on solving problems and delivering real impact. If you've got trade expertise, a sharp eye for detail, and the drive to lead with purpose—this is your chance to fuel something bigger.
Your Opportunity
As our Service & Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be the driving force behind the reliability of our fuel infrastructure—ensuring faults are resolved quickly, safely, and cost‑effectively. You'll lead a network of technicians, provide expert support, and keep our systems running smoothly across regional Australia. With your technical know‑how, sharp coordination skills, and commitment to safety, you'll help us deliver operational excellence from the control room to the front line.
Responsibilities
* Lead fault identification and resolution across fuel infrastructure, ensuring timely response in line with SLAs and safety protocols.
* Monitor and maintain remote fuel facilities to ensure optimal performance, safety compliance, and system reliability.
* Manage a small team handling scheduled maintenance and fault inquiries, while supporting 24/7 fault hotline coverage and escalation.
* Collaborate with operations, engineering, and customer support to resolve complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
* Maintain accurate documentation, prepare performance reports, and stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
* Background in the fuel industry or similar service coordination roles, with trade qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines highly regarded.
* Hands‑on experience with containerised fuel tanks, pumps, metering, and dispensing equipment (e.g. Compac) preferred.
* Strong attention to detail, initiative, and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to learning and sourcing solutions.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and ability to work independently or within a small team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) with a current Driver's Licence.
Benefits
* Enjoy the tranquillity of working near the water in our modern workshop at Port of Brisbane.
* Paid training and development to grow your skills and career.
* Staff and family discounts on fuel (obviously).
* Work hard, play hard with our Blue Squad social club – trivia nights, barbecues and plenty of laughs
* Plus salary sacrificing options, retail and health care discounts, Employee Assistance Program, and much more.
