We're seeking experienced Contractor Rehabilitation Counsellors to deliver high-quality vocational rehabilitation services across a range of schemes including workers' compensation, CTP, and government-funded programs across the following regions:
Newcastle
Coffs Harbour
Port Macquarie
Lismore
Dubbo
About the opportunity
As a contractor, you'll enjoy autonomy and flexibility while working with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
You'll provide tailored rehabilitation services to clients experiencing injury, illness, or disability—helping them achieve sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct vocational and psychosocial assessments
Develop and implement individualised return-to-work plans
Provide counselling and support for physical and psychological injuries
Liaise with employers, insurers, and health professionals
Maintain accurate case notes and meet compliance standards
What You'll Bring
Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work or Psychology
Full registration with ASORC, AASW or APHRA
Considerable experience working in occupational rehabilitation and proven track record of contracting with other clients
Strong communication and case management skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
Full driver's licence and own vehicle
