The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Shotfirer to join our Shot Crew. Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, this role operates on a D1 dayshift-only roster, consisting of 12-hour shifts.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our operations by ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant use of explosives while contributing to the achievement of safety, production, and operational targets. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Shotfirer with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
* A strong safety-focused mindset, with the ability to work within established safety and environmental standards
* A proactive, "can-do" attitude
* A current SafeWork NSW Blasting Explosives User's Licence (BEUL)
* A current SafeWork NSW Security Clearance (SC)
* A sound understanding of statutory obligations under NSW WHS Acts and Regulations
* Proven experience in open-cut shotfiring operations
Desirable Experience
Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience operating one or more of the following:
* Road-registered trucks (including stemming and water carts)
* Small front-end loaders
* Graders
* Training and assessing (Trainer/Assessor qualifications)
