Tamworth Community College (TCC) is seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a Trainee Administration and Student Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Business as part of a paid traineeship.
As the first point of contact for students, trainers, and community members, you will provide frontline customer service and administrative support in a dynamic, values-driven environment. You’ll be supported every step of the way as you develop new skills and contribute to our mission to transform lives through education and training.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
Greeting visitors and providing a welcoming, inclusive first impression
Assisting with course and student enquiries in person, by phone and email
Supporting the preparation of enrolment paperwork and course materials
Helping with data entry, filing, scanning and general admin duties
Learning to use office systems and software with the support of the team
Supporting staff with projects, events, and daily admin tasks
Growing your knowledge of vocational education and TCC’s offerings
You’ll be trained on the job and guided by experienced team members. This traineeship is a supported learning opportunity, and responsibilities will grow in line with your development.

To be eligible for this role, you must:
Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident (Traineeship purposes)
Be willing to undertake and complete a Certificate III in Business
Have completed Year 10 or equivalent
Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check for paid employment
Have a current driver’s licence (P1 or above) or be working towards one

This role is a fixed-term contract for 18 months (the duration of the traineeship), part-time (64 hours per fortnight), Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
