**Establish Leadership for First Nations Team**
This role requires a senior leader to establish and lead the First Nations team at TAC. The goal is to shape and deliver the strategic and operational agenda of the First Nations portfolio in the People Culture and Engagement division.
To advance reconciliation, the successful candidate will promote cultural safety, enhance inclusion, and expand employment and development pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Foster respectful, trust-based relationships with First Nations communities and leaders grounded in cultural understanding and long-term collaboration.
* Engage senior stakeholders to embed transformative change aligned with First Nations aspirations and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the First Nations strategy.
* BUILD partnerships with First Nations communities and organisations.
* Provide guidance and support to employees on matters related to First Nations culture and protocols.
Requirements:
* Proven leadership and management experience, particularly in a First Nations context.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with First Nations communities and organisations.
* Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
We are looking for:
* Experience working in a similar role or in a field related to First Nations affairs.
* Knowledge of First Nations cultures, histories, and protocols.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being able to work independently when necessary.
