Position Details

Employment Type: Part or Full-time (35 hours a week)
Duration: 1 Year Fixed Term (possible extension depending on funding)
Position Level: A or B, depending on experience
Remuneration: $88k - $145k base (+17% superannuation and leave loading)
Work Rights: Must hold full rights to work in Australia
Location: Randwick, Sydney

Role Overview
The Post Doctoral Fellow(s) will contribute to developing a mood disorders research team at UNSW and the Black Dog Institute. The team focuses on early intervention in mood disorders, phenotyping, and understanding subgroups within mood disorders.
Projects include: a) optimizing care models for bipolar disorder; b) evaluating digital data for phenotyping and prediction; c) developing tailored treatments. The role involves independent and team-based research activities to advance mental health interventions.
Qualifications and Experience
Level A

PhD in a related discipline or relevant experience
Experience in developing or evaluating mental health interventions or analyzing mental health data
Ability to conduct high-quality independent research
Publication and conference presentation record
Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Effective communication with diverse stakeholders

Level B (additional requirements)

Proven research outcomes with high impact and leadership capacity
Significant involvement in professional or industry activities
Excellent communication and networking skills
