Providing specialist, evidence‐based psychological care to support NICU parents, families and carers through complexity, recovery and hope.
A current influenza (flu) vaccination is a mandatory requirement for appointment to this position.
Responsibilities
* Deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, case formulation and evidence‐based interventions for NICU parents, families and carers, using individual, family and group approaches.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health care team to provide integrated, family‐centred mental health care.
* Contribute to research activities and the evaluation of clinical outcomes to support continuous service improvement.
* Assist in the development and delivery of education and training programs across the service.
* Provide professional supervision to psychologists and support other clinical disciplines across the District in line with organisational needs.
Qualifications
* Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.
* Experience in working with individuals, parents, families and carers experiencing severe and complex psychosocial and mental health difficulties.
* Demonstrated competence and experience in a wide range of psychological assessment procedures, diagnosis and evidence based psychological interventions delivered to individuals, groups, and families.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
