Band 4 – base salary from $99,189 per annum (plus super). The total package will be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience.

As an Application Support Engineer, you'll provide expert technical support, administration, and coordination for a range of enterprise applications. You'll manage incidents, service requests, changes and problems, perform root cause analysis, ensure compliance with cybersecurity and service standards, and contribute to system enhancements. Your work will directly impact our operational effectiveness and customer service delivery.
You'll also support continuous improvement by maintaining documentation, assisting the Service Desk, and helping implement innovative solutions that align with TasNetworks' strategic direction. This role includes participation in an on‐call roster, providing critical after‐hours support when needed, and can be based at any of our major depots across Tasmania.
About You
You are a technically capable and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast‐paced environment. You have experience working with enterprise systems – ideally SAP – and bring strong analytical and communication skills. You are also proactive, solutions‐focused, and able to juggle competing priorities with confidence.
You'll Also Bring
* Demonstrated experience supporting complex IT systems in a business‐critical environment
* Hands‐on experience with M365 and associated enterprise technologies (desirable)
* ITIL training or certification
* Strong problem‐solving, diagnostic, and decision‐making abilities
* Ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and deliver results
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A team‐oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
