About The Opportunity
As Ecology Manager, you'll spearhead the strategic and operational direction of the ecology division, while driving integration with construction and nursery teams. You will lead the full project cycle, guide high-performing teams, and offer informed ecological advice that balances compliance, functionality, and sustainability.
Reporting to the Business Manager/Director, you will be responsible for:
* Guiding cross-functional teams with pragmatic, outcome-focused ecological advice
* Managing project budgets, delivery timelines, and statutory compliance
* Leading and mentoring ecologists and bush regeneration staff
* Ensuring adherence to NSW environmental laws and project-specific approvals
* Strengthening coordination between ecology, construction, and nursery services
* Delivering projects from planning through to ecological assessments and reporting
* Driving offset strategies and unlocking new commercial opportunities
About You
You are a strategic thinker with hands-on ecological knowledge and the leadership ability to influence outcomes at all levels. You bring commercial awareness, communication finesse, and an unwavering focus on quality and compliance.
You will bring:
* A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
* Proven ability to manage complex ecological projects, budgets, and risk
* Solid experience conducting and overseeing fieldwork, analysis, and reporting
