Creswick Dental Centre is a small, established private dental practice in Creswick (approx. 15–20 minutes from Ballarat). We’re looking for a Dental Assistant who wants a long-term role in a calm, well-run, non-corporate clinic.
The role
This is primarily a chairside assisting role, with some reception/phone support as needed. You’ll be involved in:
* Chairside assisting (4-handed dentistry)
* Sterilisation / infection control and instrument processing
* Treatment room set-ups and efficient turnover
* Supporting patients before, during and after appointments
* Occasional reception support (phones, bookings, patient flow)
We’re open to both experienced and developing assistants :
If you’re experienced: you’ll be confident with chairside assisting and steri workflow, and comfortable working efficiently in a clinical setting.
If you’re newer to dentistry: you’ll need a strong attitude, reliability, and comfort working in a clinical environment. You must be willing to follow infection control routines closely and learn quickly. Formal Dental Assisting training (e.g. Cert III via TAFE) is a plus, and you must be open to completing it if not already qualified.
In all cases, we’re looking for someone who communicates well with patients, works neatly, and contributes to a smooth day for the team.
Hours & remuneration
* Full-time preferred. Part-time may be considered for the right candidate.
* Friday availability is essential.
* Pay is based on experience (above award for experienced Dental Assistants) and reviewed after probation.
