Quality Assurance Trainee Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Trainee.
About the Role:
* Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and review of quality assurance and food safety programs (HACCP, GMP, BRC, Aus-Meat).
* Support daily QA checks, verifications, and documentation control tasks.
* Learn to interpret, apply, and implement export, domestic, and customer-specific requirements.
* Prepare for audits from regulatory bodies, third parties, and customers.
* Contribute to developing and maintaining quality procedures, forms, and training records.
* Investigate non-conformances, gather information for root cause analysis, and track corrective/preventive actions.
* Liaise with DAFF officers, auditors, and production teams under supervision.
* Conduct product sampling, inspections, and verification activities as trained.
* Promote food safety awareness across the site.
* Perform internal auditing as required.
* Participate in ongoing training to build capability toward independently managing QA functions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Understanding of HACCP principles and food safety fundamentals (training provided).
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
* Able to communicate effectively with technical and production teams.
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and interest in developing a career in quality assurance.
* Prior experience in food manufacturing or meat processing is desirable but not essential.
