Our clinics in Cairns and Mount Sheridan are currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team on a full-time or casual basis with availability to work between the core hours of 7:45am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Role Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Interaction:
* Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously.
* Accurately input patient data.
* Assist patients with appointment scheduling.
Administrative Tasks:
* Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently.
* Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing).
* Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, CTP, DVA, and Workcover.
* Handle internal emails and inquiries.
* Maintain a tidy reception waiting area.
Collaboration:
* Work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Communicate with referring doctors courteously.
* Fill in the roster when staff are on annual or sick leave.
* Ensure accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Understanding of medical terminology.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of medical software and Microsoft Office Suite).
* Radiology or Medical Reception experience highly regarded.
