A Bit About HeadBox
At HeadBox, our purpose is simple: we connect people and spaces to make brilliant things happen.
Born from the frustration of an outdated, slow, and inefficient venue booking process, HeadBox set out in 2015 to revolutionise the events industry. We've since expanded our focus, becoming obsessed with solving the complex challenges faced by corporates, venue managers, and individuals seeking event spaces. For consumers, we provide them with a seamless experience to find the perfect venue. For corporates, we manage the process every step of the way; using our technology to do the heavy lifting and experts to bring creativity.
HeadBox Australia, launched in 2020 and led by Ali Lord, has quickly established itself as a market leader. We're scaling rapidly, bringing our innovative platform and world-class expertise to more clients and venues across the nation, and we need a dynamic Marketing Manager to drive this growth.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the CEO, you will be a pivotal part of the HeadBox team, responsible for executing our marketing strategies that drive brand presence, accelerate customer acquisition, and contribute directly to our national growth targets across Australia.
At HeadBox, we serve three key customer segments: venues, event organisers (consumers), and corporates. You will deeply understand their unique needs, refine HeadBox's brand voice, and craft compelling marketing campaigns that resonate with each audience.
We are looking for a strategic thinker and a proactive doer – someone who can take ownership, deliver measurable results, and bring fresh, impactful ideas to the table that elevate HeadBox's market position.
Key Responsibilities
As our Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing marketing strategies across various channels, including:
* Marketing Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives to drive lead generation, customer acquisition, and brand growth across B2B and B2C segments.
* Website Management: Oversee content updates and new page builds via CMS (Strapi) collaborating with product and tech teams to ensure an optimised, user-friendly experience that supports conversion goals.
* SEO Strategy: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create, activate, and measure effective SEO strategies that enhance brand visibility and business growth.
* Agency Management: Manage external agencies and vendors to deliver on objectives, maintain budget efficiency, and align outputs with strategic goals.
* Email Marketing & Automation: Design and implement segmented, personalised email campaigns to nurture leads and optimise engagement.
* Social Media Strategy: Drive brand presence and audience engagement across Instagram and LinkedIn to generate leads and strengthen community.
* Content & Collateral Development: Produce high-quality content and sales collateral to support marketing and sales initiatives.
* Brand Development & PR: Identify and leverage opportunities for brand elevation through partnerships, PR, and thought leadership, working with the PR and events team to bring these to life
* Analytics & Reporting: Define KPIs, monitor campaign performance, and deliver actionable insights to improve marketing effectiveness.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a motivated and experienced Marketing Manager who embodies our values and is eager to make a significant impact.
* Experience: 3+ years in digital marketing
* Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to design and execute strategies that drive measurable commercial outcomes.
* Channel Expertise: Deep, hands‑on experience across SEO, SEM, social (organic + paid), email, and content—paired with a strong understanding of each channel's role, interdependencies, and contribution within the overarching marketing mix (awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention).
