HR Business Partner - 3 month temp at Randstad HR Partners

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Temporary HR Business Partner for 3 months to join this dynamic Human Resources team within a leading Australian manufacturing organisation.


Key Responsibilities

* Strategic HR Partnership:
o Provide generalist HR support to assigned business units, including performance management, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
o Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied across the organisation.
* Industrial Relations Management:
o Provide expert advice and coaching to site management on industrial relations matters, grievance resolution, and interpretation of the EA.
o Manage and resolve complex workplace disputes, ensuring timely and legally compliant outcomes.
* Enterprise Agreement (EA) Negotiations:
o Lead the planning, strategy, and execution of the current Enterprise Agreement negotiation process.
o Serve as a primary point of contact in negotiation meetings with unions and employee representatives.
o Conduct comprehensive analysis of industrial benchmarks, wage data, and business capacity to inform negotiation parameters.
o Draft, review, and finalise all negotiation materials and agreement documentation in compliance with the Fair Work Act and relevant industrial legislation.


Skills & Experience

* Proven experience (5+ years) as an HR Business Partner, ideally within a manufacturing, heavy industry, or similar operational environment.
* Demonstrable, hands‑on experience leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations in Australia.
* Deep and current knowledge of Australian industrial relations legislation, including the Fair Work Act.
* Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex industrial matters to diverse stakeholders (management, employees, unions).
* High level of commercial acumen and the ability to balance business objectives with employee relations needs.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field.
* Experience: 5 years
