Residential Civil Construction Manager
This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of residential civil construction projects. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end project delivery, provide strategic and operational leadership, drive financial performance, and optimise project delivery and processes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead End-to-End Project Delivery: Oversee the full lifecycle of residential civil projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards.
* Provide Strategic and Operational Leadership: Direct project teams, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and engineers with a focus on performance, collaboration, and innovation to drive successful project outcomes.
* Drive Financial Performance: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to optimise profitability while meeting project specifications and client expectations.
* Optimise Project Delivery and Processes: Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, address key challenges such as labour shortages and supply chain disruptions, and enhance project outcomes.
* Ensure Compliance and Risk Management: Uphold relevant regulations, environmental standards, and policies, ensuring all projects meet safety, legal, and operational requirements.
* Strengthen Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with developers, local authorities, subcontractors, and clients to support project success and secure repeat business.
About You
We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual with a proven track record in residential civil construction management. Key attributes and requirements include:
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in civil construction management, particularly in residential townhouse projects. Experience running your own civil business is highly regarded.
* Leadership: Exceptional team leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire staff and stakeholders.
* Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Expertise: Strong understanding of industry regulations, compliance requirements, infrastructure, and land development processes.
* Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage diverse stakeholder groups.
