The Opportunity
This is a key role within our firm where you'll take ownership of a quality client portfolio while managing and mentoring a small high-performing team.
You'll work closely with business owners across a variety of industries, providing proactive tax and business advisory support while helping drive operational excellence across the firm.
You'll be trusted to make decisions, improve processes, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
* Overseeing, mentoring and developing a small accounting team
* Managing workflow, client deadlines and team performance
* Reviewing and preparing tax compliance (EOFY, BAS, FBT, Tax planning)
* Providing strategic tax and business advisory services
* Building strong long-term client relationships
* Maintaining high-quality technical and compliance standards
* Contributing to a positive, collaborative and growth-focused culture
About You
You're an experienced public practice accountant who enjoys both the technical side of accounting and leading people.
* 6+ years' experience within Australian public practice
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
* Proven experience managing and mentoring staff
* Passionate Business Advisory Specialist
* Confident communicator with a proactive mindset
* A forward-thinking attitude with a genuine desire to grow and lead
* Strong technical knowledge across Income Tax, CGT, GST, QBCC, Div7A & FBT
* CA or CPA qualified
* Detail oriented and well organized
* Experience with SMSFs? That's a bonus!
