About the Role This contract opportunity is suited to experienced truck drivers seeking consistent weekday work within a regulated government environment. The role supports correctional facilities and authorised partners through the safe and timely delivery of refrigerated and general freight. You will contribute directly to the reliability of essential supply chains while working across structured routes and variable daily volumes. Position: HC Truck Driver Location: Berkshire and Wellington, NSW Pay Rate: $40/hrsuper Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 month with possibility of extension Hours: up to 50 hours per week Key Responsibilities Operate HC or HR vehicles in accordance with road and safety regulations Deliver goods to correctional facilities and approved business partners Transport refrigerated and tautliner freight Complete daily manual handling, load restraint and strapping tasks Conduct pre-start checks and routine vehicle inspections Maintain delivery paperwork and transport documentation Follow site-specific security, access and compliance procedures Adhere to fatigue management and chain of responsibility requirements Communicate effectively with depot teams and site contacts About You Current HC licence preferred; HR considered Valid forklift licence is essential Previous experience with refrigerated or tautliner vehicles Strong knowledge of load restraint and manual handling practices Ability to work flexible hours with regular overtime High attention to safety, compliance and detail Reliable, punctual and capable of working independently Clear communication and professional presentation Current National Police Check (or willingness to undergo prior to commencement) Full working rights in Australia – Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid long-term working visa (sponsorship unavailable) Applicants are kindly asked to upload their tickets at www.charterdiligence.com.au/skilledhire Application Process Important: Due to the high volume of applications and the limited submission timeframe, we may not be able to contact all applicants.
