The Role
Based at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), provide a high standard of Food Service to hospital patients, staff and patrons in accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.
* Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, plating, meal distribution, ware‐washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
* Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
* Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.

* LGH Food Services provides meals to over 300 patients daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) 365 days a year.
* Shift work with a combination early morning starts, evening shifts, including a combination of weekdays and weekends.
Details of Appointment
Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing on a mutually agreed upon date. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary
$57,130 - $62,486 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
