About the Role
The Health Information Liaison will be responsible for establishing and coordinating a coder clinician liaison function to facilitate effective communication with clinicians across Queensland Children's Hospital.
Key responsibilities include leading the development, implementation and evaluation of education and documentation to improve clinical documentation quality and clinician knowledge of coding.
This role is crucial in promoting data quality, accurate acuity representation, coding accuracy and Diagnosis Related Group optimisation.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Establish and coordinate a coder clinician liaison function as an expert health information resource to facilitate effective, dynamic and regular communication with clinicians.
2. Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of education and documentation across all divisions to improve the overall quality of clinical documentation and clinician knowledge of coding and its impact on maximisation of revenue.
3. Ensure improved quality of documented clinical data in key hospital service delivery areas to promote data quality, accurate acuity representation, coding accuracy and Diagnosis Related Group optimisation.
