Job Summary
This fixed-term role is focused on preventative maintenance, specifically footpaths, kerb and channel, bridges and culverts. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete construction, finishing and form setting, as well as plant operating experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the supervisor to oversee daily activities of concreting contractors.
* Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
* Assist the supervisor with planning and scheduling work and lead maintenance works, assembling ad hoc teams.
* Perform hands-on and manual handling maintenance tasks, operate plant, machinery, tools and equipment as required.
About You
To be successful, you will need:
* Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience in concrete construction, finishing and form setting.
* Plant operating experience.
* Proven ability to plan work for others, make resourcing decisions and deal with unforeseen circumstances.
* Ability to lead a team to ensure performance and behaviours are of a high standard.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills, including capable computer skills.
* Current Heavy Vehicle and Drivers Licence.
