Job Description
The Role:
* You will be part of a pioneering team that is revolutionizing medicine through mRNA technology, with a diverse pipeline of development programs across various diseases.
* This is an opportunity to contribute to global health initiatives and make a significant impact on patients' lives worldwide.
Our Melbourne office focuses on commercial operations, ensuring the delivery of our innovative products to the Australian market. We're inviting international professionals to join us in our mission of delivering the greatest possible impact to people through mRNA medicines.
This sole contributor role offers a high-impact opportunity to lead and shape the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategy for vaccine portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.
The successful candidate will design and deliver localized HEOR evidence plans that influence pricing, reimbursement, access, and institutional decision-making.
The position requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex data into tailored value narratives and communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
This is a rare opportunity to own affiliate-level HEOR execution while contributing to the evolution of global strategy. Based in Melbourne, this role reports to the Executive Director of Global HEOR for Infectious Disease, with a dotted line to the Director of Market Access, Australia.
Your Responsibilities
1. Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of local HEOR strategies and evidence generation tailored to Australia and New Zealand.
2. Adapt global cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and public health economic models to support HTA submissions.
3. Oversee the development of comprehensive reimbursement dossiers and materials submitted to ATAGI, PBAC, and PHARMAC.
4. Represent HEOR in early scientific engagement and formal assessment processes to shape pricing and recommendation strategies.
5. Manage external vendors to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality deliverables aligned with local and global expectations.
Your Skills and Qualifications
* A Master's degree in health economics, epidemiology, public health, pharmacy, or a related scientific field.
* A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or vaccines industry.
* Hands-on experience with Australian HTA submissions (e.g., PBAC, ATAGI).
* Deep knowledge of Australia and New Zealand healthcare and reimbursement systems, including distinctions between PHARMAC and PBAC.
* Familiarity with NITAG/HTA decision-making processes (ATAGI, PBAC, PHARMAC).
Benefits
We offer quality healthcare and insurance benefits, lifestyle spending accounts, free premium access to fitness classes, family planning and adoption benefits, generous paid time off, location-specific perks and extras.
