Tropic Petroleum are seeking the services of suitably qualified Truck Driver on a full-time basis to join their team at their Cairns based Depot.
Tropic Petroleum (Tropic) has been distributing fuel in North Queensland since the Company's incorporation in 1968. Tropic is the only independent family owned petroleum distribution company left in North Queensland. Qualifications & experience
* HR licence or above
* Bulk Dangerous Goods licence preferred
* An SLP passport preferred
* Previous experience as a truck driver; fuel experience preferred but not essential
* Attention to detail and the ability complete all required paperwork
* Good customer service and communication skills
* Previous experience with Fatigue Management desirable
* The ability to work weekends, early mornings and/or evenings
Tasks & responsibilities
* Completing daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
* Complete log book and fatigue management procedures
* Follow instructions from schedulers for daily duties, trip sheets and time-frames
* Develop positive relationships with customers
* Loading, transportation and delivery of fuels
* Ensure safety and compliance is adhered to at all times
