Business Analyst - 12-month Contract - Local Government Entity

Hays have partnered with a Local Government Entity to appoint a Business Analyst to an initial 12-month contract with the potential to extend.
Your new role
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
* Generating, defining and evaluating feasible options, ensuring they align with the organisation's vision, mission, objectives, and are financially and technically feasible.
* Manage user requirement definitions, through analysing and defining organisational information requirements by process mapping and re-engineering current processes and identifying new opportunities for improved service delivery.
* Specifying and validating requirements and constraints to a level that enables effective development and operations of new or changed software, systems, processes, products or services.
* Provide expert analysis and advice associated with the business requirements and outcomes in the implementation of complex corporate systems.
* Producing abstract or distilled business models or representations of business processes or proposed scenarios
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in the following:
* Substantial experience in a Business Analyst role working on and implementing enterprise-level ICT projects.
* High level experience in business process design principles and best practice project execution demonstrating financial acumen.
* Substantial expertise in conducting process analysis associated with complex corporate system implementations.
* High level ability to synthesise complex analysis into meaningful insights and communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
* Strong experience in the development of project Requirements and Scope, Feasibility, Benefits Realisation Plans.
* Strong experience in identifying and/or applying risk management processes in reducing or eliminating project exposures, failures and weaknesses.
