Open Space planning is at the heart of what makes liveable cities and healthy communities. Melbourne has a fantastic legacy of open space planning and a network many envy but with the social, environmental and economic challenges facing the city and our diverse communities, we need to review and reform our systems and planning guidance to make sure they are fit for purpose to deliver best public value. These Senior Project Officer roles offer the opportunity to actively shape this change through implementation of the Victorian government 'Open Space for Everyone' 2021 strategy. They provide an opportunity for experienced open space planners who have skills in systems thinking and excel in working across state and local governments as well as with Traditional Custodians, academics and many related sector networks to be part of a reform agenda.
