Overview
The Showgrounds Officer plays an integral role in delivering the building and grounds maintenance program. The position supports the operations coordinator in developing and implementing the annual maintenance plan and works closely with the Maintenance Officer to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
This dynamic and diverse role offers a balance of office‐based responsibilities and hands‐on outdoor work. A key component involves the set‐up and pack‐down of on‐site events, including agricultural sales, meetings, functions and sporting events, contributing to the smooth operation of the showground.
Responsibilities
* Assist with coordination, planning and implementation of the Annual Maintenance Program
* Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with event organisers
* Plan and coordinate event maintenance programs
* Undertake a broad range of general maintenance tasks: lawn mowing, tree maintenance and weed control, plumbing, carpentry, concreting, fencing and fence construction, minor building repairs, cleaning and painting
What You'll Bring

* Intermediate computer skills
* Physical fitness to undertake the inherent requirements of the role
* Class C Licence
