Our client is a leading provider of transport maintenance services across Australia. Due to new contracts, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Service Tech based in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be based on a Day Shift Monday - Friday roster, with a high chance of transitioning to a Full Time Permanent position for the right candidate.
What's Involved:
* Perform scheduled maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting on Locomotives
* Collaborating as part of a dynamic team
* Diagnostics, inspections and interpreting technical drawings
What We're Looking For:
* Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Electrician
* Must have Lathe operation experience
* Must have proven experience in a maintenance environment - rolling stock preferred
* Rail and Locomotive experience desirable but not essential
* Overhead Crane ticket desirable
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
What We Offer You:
* $61 - $62 / hour - Casual rate
* Day shift Monday - Friday
* Some overtime available
* Ongoing work
* Based in Newcastle
