Job Description
This role is responsible for providing a high level of administrative support in the areas of rostering, staffing, food safety, stock control management, reporting and other administrative tasks related to the catering department.
Responsibilities
People
* To understand annual personal and company objectives and to take part in the regular appraisal processes to assess performance and provide feedback to management.
* To undertake technical and other training as required, and to attend periodic team and individual meetings as required.
* To work professionally with colleagues in the Catering team and to ensure a good communication flow is maintained with other Departments in the Village.
* To always apply safe work practices to contribute to the safety culture at Civeo.
Customers
* To coordinate and implement along with the Catering manager a seamless guest feedback capture platform that records and tracks guest satisfaction and create strategies to deliver continuously improving guest satisfaction targets.
* To facilitate and maintain a safe environment for our customers.
* To ensure along with the Catering manager satisfactory stock levels are always maintained and available to guest, continuously seeking improvements in product lines and product quality.
Process
* To accurately order food products in line with Civeo systems, policies, and procedures.
* To coordinate, along with the Catering manager, labour hire requirements and staffing roster of Catering department team members which includes authorising and reconciling timesheets.
* Manage all kitchen maintenance requests.
* To coordinate, along with the Village Management team, all Food Safety and HACCP paperwork, Testo system monitoring and compliance activities.
* To coordinate and track along with the Catering manager all kitchen staff inductions, competencies training and development.
* Assist with other administrative tasks relating to the Catering team which may include entering monthly stock take reports, updating work instructions procedures and completing wastage reports.
Finance
* To coordinate and implement along with the Catering manager stock control procedures to maximise yields and minimise wastage.
* To coordinate and implement along with the Catering manager a purchasing management system in line with budgetary guidelines.
Other
* Any other required duties appropriate to the scope, nature, and seniority of the role.
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Business, Administration or HSQE (desirable)
Experience
* Experience in Food Safety, HACCP, and Compliance.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office, JDE and MyOSH or other safety related systems.
Skills
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
* Knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance, including responsibilities to self, other persons, and property, including the safe operation of plant and equipment and manual handling.
* Knowledge of equipment and materials routinely used in retail, bar, and restaurant operations.
* Strong time management and organisational ability.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
